So today begins the season that makes everyone think of cooler weather and falling leaves with the changing colors and holidays like Halloween and Thanksgiving and such. My thoughts on this is that It sux!:) I loves summer with its warmth and sunshine and the ability to go outside and breathe air that exudes nature and its own brand of perfume of wildflowers and fresh mown grass. Autumn is only good for one thing and in this house that means the POSTSEASON in baseball. This year has been one of that rivaling a rollercoaster with my Yankees and as of this writing they are but only 1 and a half games ahead of the pesky Tampa Bay Rays. I have lived and breathed every single game this season knowing that in all probablity the boys won't make it to the series again to make it 28 world championships but all in all they never fail to disappoint me each day at gametime.
This summer I had a guilty pleasure that I didn't tell anyone for fear they would lock me up for being nuts and that was watching Big Brother 12. I have watched this show for all 12 years and this year for some reason I watched it every night on the live feeds from the house itself and on Showtime from midnight to 3 a.m..
Now needless to say I wore myself out on only a few hours sleep watching complete strangers on a 24/7 camera feed inside a house playing for a half million dollars. I think I have gone round the bend and when the finale was aired last week it felt like I lost a good friend. I have lableled this behavior as plain stupid as hell and will try my best to not repeat it.
Now on to the weirdness I call my daily life..
Since I am the only sports fan in the house I get to make Kas and Ron watch games or not. And the remark from kasey was at least baseball is almost over until Sunday Night and the Colts and the Giants played. Kasey is a huge Giants fan for no reason other than he got a jersey one year . Better reason than some I say. And the Colts talking Eli to task and a lesson that Big brother in that situation was awesome!
I think that I will ponder the fact also that something I have wanted to have for years is happening!
Kasey is in a program for people who have TBI and is thriving. he bowls and plays pool and goes on field trips and many other things. he also has his eye on some girl there and I was told not to ask and it was none of my business. I am thinking oh no thats not the right answer.. This is my kid and if she is going to be in his life.. you know the one that I gave him.. he will be more forthcoming. So far I am not making any progress on that front but I am actively pursuing it.
In the rest of my days I am busy fall cleaning and trying to get stuff done before it snows which could be anytime up here...
So there it is in black and white and shades of fall colors..
Only 9 more months till SPRING!!'
Happy fall to all and Lets go Yankees! and Colts and may this be a season to remember for all teams good or bad! But the smart money is on the Colts again this year or so I hope!
